**************************************************************
Our summer club competition this year will be judged by Margaret Hocking and results will be presented and discussed by her at our evening meeting on 11th June. There are two classes and details of the requirements for these follow.

Rules:

  1. You may submit up to three digital images for each class.
  2. Images are to be submitted to Jane by email (you should have Jane’s email address) BY May 15th 2013.
  3. Each image should be no larger than 1MB in size.
  4. You should put the title of each image in the file name. If you don’t provide a title in this way, Jane will make one up for you.
  5. You may manipulate your images only as shown below in the class details.
  6. Photos should be ones that you haven’t used previously in competition at St Agnes photographic club.

Classes:

1. Single Use Camera class

Images to be taken using your single use camera.

If you purchase your own, see if you can find one without a flash so you’re on a totally level playing field with the other members who have got one.

Manipulation: only to reduce the file size to ~1MB or less. No other manipulation allowed.

2. Weather class

Images taken by any camera you like.

Manipulation: any manipulation allowed.

PS: If you’re looking for a program to use to manipulate your photos, have look at Gimp*. It’s an open source program, similar to Photoshop, and it’s free to download and use. It has a RAW file plugin and there are many tutorials on how to use it – just google!

* other photo manipulation software is available.
