Field Trip – Godrevy
April 14th 2020 – Evening Field Trip.
Due to program changes earlier in the year we have found ourselves with an opportunity to fill in with an evening field trip. So it is time to get out of the office, dust off those dark winter days and join us with a visit to Godrevy.
This will be an opportunity for members to enjoy a spring evening in the amazing light that often exists on this stretch of Heritage Cornish Coast to capture seascapes, sunsets, the Godrevy Lighthouse, spring flowers or anything else that catches your eye. The location is also a popular spot for surfers and wind surfers alike.
Sunset time is 08.15pm on the 14th April so a meet up time of 06.45pm at the National Trust main car park should give enough time to get your eye in so as to speak.
Car Parking is free to National Trust members. Please note that the top field car park has a barrier that is closed at dusk. The lower main car park is without a barrier.
In the unlikely event the weather turns nasty and it looks as if we have to cancel then a notice will be posted on the SAPC website and to your email address. Late arrivals on the evening can contact Philip Gott on 07841 348485.
For the location we are visiting you would be wise to consider warm clothes, strong pair of walking shoes and be mindful of the tides if you are on the beach or rocks to avoid being cut off.
For those being adventurous with their photography a tripod, lens filters and up to a 300mm lens would prove to be useful to have by your side.
