We held our Annual Photographic Exhibition in St Agnes on Saturday. Happily a big cloud sat on St Agnes for most of the day and the resulting mist and rain kept many people away from the beaches and got them visiting our show, even if it was just to shelter from the weather!
We exhibited a whopping 119 stunning prints all taken and mounted by our members, many of whom hadn’t exhibited with the club before.
We were incredibly busy in the morning and pretty busy for the rest of the day with only a couple of quiet moments. We had visitors from all over the village, the county and the UK and saw familiar faces from St Ives Photographic Club, Truro Camera Club, Helston Photographic Club and Penryn Camera Club, amongst others. Plans were made to meet up again soon. We also caught up with many old members, including some founder members of St Agnes Photographic Club.
Many teas and coffees were drunk and much homemade cake consumed. There was also obviously a lot of discussion of photography and kit.
The raffle prize, your favourite photo from the exhibition, was won by club member Andy McReady who had chosen Ginny Norris’s ‘From Tubby’s Head’ to take home with him.
All in all, a hectic but rewarding day. A great opportunity to see what all our members get up to when they’re not at our meetings and we’re hoping we may also have enticed some potential new members to join us for our next meetings.
